Yeah he's waving the flag now that the Sheik is in hiding...they had enough evidence from the numerous films taken of the violations to arrest the owner on the spot....though these driving violations were probably only misdemeanors he also lied to police, interfered with an investigation, fled to avoid prosecution, with this many charges, and maybe a few more, this could be upgraded to a more serious charge...

They likely are all Misdemeanors and a large percentage of them have potential jail time of up to a year in County. Possibly more, but not familiar with CA Vehicle Codes.

Not to mention Ferrari is going to be upset seeing that type of abuse of one of their babies....

I'm almost slightly curious to see how this turns out.

My limited understanding of how most of those countries work is from online and TV documentaries of to which from them I got the strong impression that they take doing actions that could be seen as embarrassing or disrespectful to their image rather seriously so depending on how high up this goof is he might catch a bit of hell back home over it.

We might even get lucky and his superiors are still strongly bound by the old ways of their heritage and he might get made an example of and get shipped back here to be tried as a commoner!

OMG, seriously?

Do you really expect us to believe that someone told lies in an attempt to avoid traffic tickets?

On top of that you want us to believe that police are not always completely honest!

I bet there were far more brazen lies told in attempts to avoid penalties from far worse traffic behavior, some that resulted in injury or even death, on that same day elsewhere in the country.

All this tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth over the perceived affront to equal treatment is perplexing. If we aren't making this talked about news because he is a sheik with a $ 2 billion net worth, then why exactly aren't the other serious traffic infractions also national news.

I realize some will think this comment is hyper critical, but perhaps it just looks that way against the hypo critical backdrop.
