Hello, can anyone advise a company where you can buy an electrostatic paint equipment, on Google I only found expensive units.

You only found expensive units because there are only expensive units that are worth anything. Even with the "expensive" units, better ones cost a lot more that run-of-the-mill ones. Look at Binks and Devilbiss for starters. This equipment is designed for professional use, and requires some training in its use and safety. Hope this helps.

Depending on what you are painting, you might try powder-coating. The powder is applied using electrostatics, and then the item is baked (a kitchen oven works fine for small items). No volatile solvents, and the result is much more durable than paint.

Here in the US, we bought a kit a year or two ago. I think it was around US$70, possibly at Home Depot. It has been quite satisfactory for the small metal items we've been coating (not a large quantity).

A kitchen oven used for curing powder-coated parts shouldn't be in your kitchen when you use it. Proper ventilation of curing ovens is a requirement, not an option. Upon curing, some formulations outgas substances that are incompatible with human health and happiness. You should obtain and read toxicology reports on the materials you plan to use, and follow the manufacturer's recommendations. That is, unless you prefer toting your liver around in a wheelbarrow.

I didn't say the kitchen oven was actually in a kitchen!

On the other hand, the powder coat is simply a powdered plastic which is melted by the oven; if there is any outgassing, I can't tell. There is no odor whatsoever with the powder we are using. Finally, our requirement is really tiny: effectively coating a dozen quarter-sized toothed lock-washers once every 2 or 3 months.

Have you any adress, website or smth. other to tell, where we can find that.

Thank You!

I just returned from my local Home Depot, and they do NOT currently have any powder coating equipment. Sears has a Craftsman brand system for $189, so a lower quality system should be cheaper. It has been a while, and I didn't buy our kit myself, so there is a definite possibility that I may have misunderstood or forgotten the original price.

This company has a kit for $230.

If cheap is the primary criteria, you might try Harbor Freight, although I have a pretty low opinion of the quality of most things there.

Try the Eastwood Company. They target backyard mechanics. I don't remember the price for their powder coat system but I recall that it was reasonable.
