Dear Patel,

If you google "shaft failure due to fatigue" or "shaft fatigue failure" you get a BIIIIG lot of informations with failure pictures and documents many of them written by specialists and professors as courses for the students where you will find ALL what you need and presented in a form which corresponds to your level.

the first answer is by the way correct although not sufficient for your work.

It was in good condition before it failed. After failure, it was in poor condition.
