F1 Car. The name McLaren is a dead giveaway. Looks like the next model of F1 car.

What else did you want to know?

About 1995 I was in Columbus Ind. visiting Arvin Industries. They make exhaust systems for Ford, and others.

They had 6 Ford engines running full bore on dynos. The manifolds were cherry red everywhere but where the pipes were straight. What a sight, and sound!

Gee Lyn you were in my neck of the woods back then. I have a friend that has worked there for near 30 years, Even after the buy out. They still run engines that way to test tubing and coatings for use in passenger cars and trucks. I have to go to Columbus on Monday to work on a safe, a lot of nice countryside to see on the way down and back.

Beautiful town. I was there in May. Enkei had a wheel plant there too.

I drove down to Louisville on Derby Day. Had breakfast at a hotel close to the Downs. THAT was an experience.

Derby day is an experience all its own. The women and their hats, the mint juleps the fine wines and last but not least the extremely fine whiskeys from the surrounding distilleries. You definitely need the room after the derby festivities.

Hi Fredski, can you number your "Watzits", so I can separate them in my in-box. Start the next one with "Whatzit 101"? I usually go to the last, scan through what I missed, then delete all entries except the most recent in my inbox. It's obvious many of us enjoy your posts! When there are 2 or more, it's possible to miss a great answer. Get back to work!

That's a good suggestion. Especially for our more prolific members.
