Acid solution filter

07/25/2007 4:06 PM

Reusable plastic coffee filters seem to be effective when filtering paint flakes and other debris from sulphuric acid solutions containing dissolved metals. I don't know what the plastic filter material is, but I would like to get it in sheet rolls about 500 cm to 1.0 meter width. Can anyone identify the materials used for those coffee filters or suggest a better filter material for this application?

I'm not sure, but I think it may be a either a 6-nylon or 6,6 nylon monofilament material.
