With the low pressure needed have you considered using air?

It seems likely that a compressor would be on hand with your application.

This would be a cheep solution

Hey Mate

A far easier option may be to run with a linear actuator and simply run it from the bikes power supply at 12v. You can find excellent examples at autoloc.com capable of lifting anything up to 800kg, various strokes etc. Very easy to attach this to a steel 'horn' on the center stand itself using rod-end bearings?

Just a thought? Not sure how far down the line you are with your design?
