Did you download the upgrade to explorer 7. I did and lost several thinjgs i liked so I uninstalled it. Didn't care for the setup and ar size.

Try elimenating or unchecking all the thing under tool bars and re checking them one at a time. I use only standard buttons and the address bar.

I would close the text aloud, links, and freshdownload bar or elimate this one totally.

something till me the freshdownload bar needs to be deleted.

if you can remember when you had the aggres bar your missing. Go to system tools under accessories and them restore the system to an earlier time.

First store anything projects or things you really can't afford to lose on a cd or email it to yourself.

Thanks for reminder of Restore.

But I have some reservations :

I have installed some very good Free SW from

www.giveawayoftheday.com giving 1 program & 1 Game daily free from the well-known Sharewares which remain effective only for 24 Hours. Can not be installed a second after the time is over,

I like to dig-out all the sources before I go to "Restore"

Thanks & regards

Restore with XP has never affected my personal files, and I have not had to reinstall any of my programs. You should have restore points to select from on several different dates. You just select he last date where you know that the computer worked correctly.

If the programs in question were not there on the restore date that you select then you will not get those programs because they weren't there. If possible try to select a date when the most programs were already installed.

Regards.

But I have the experience of it.

All the programs installed after the "RestorePoint" are not back as the Restore is from the old registry.

Actually registry is modified on each install/uninstall

Yes, unfortunately, that is correct. You cannot restore programs that were installed after the restore point that you choose.

Download and install Mozilla Firefox, it is more stable and better than IE. Better yet, go to On-DIsk and buy one of the live CD's for Linux. I use PCLinuxOS and I see many like Ubuntu. I have used both and both can be run on your XP system as a trial before you install it. IT will automatically install in dual boot with XP so you can run either one at boot on your system. Also, you will find that there are tools equal (some are even better) to M$ tools and a whole lot less expensive. I use Bluefish as my HTML Editor, Qcad in place of Autocad. Both are open source, continually updated, and can be downloaded and installed freely using synaptic. You will find that Linux operating system and all the applications are being continually upgraded and improved, too, and Linux is inherently more immune to attacks, viruses, and worms.

Oh !!!!! At last I recovered my Address-Bar.

It was hidden at extreem right under Yahoo-Bar.

I disabled Yahoo-bar & the address-bar is there in front.

Thanks to all the friends for their advise
