Reactor design for production ethylene and propylene

08/08/2007 3:40 AM

I want to design a steady state plug flow reactor for production of Ethylene and propylene using DPK (kerosine) as a feed stock.

I would be pleased to :

a. have various options to achieve this

b. the material and energy balance for this reaction

c. The kinetics of the reactions

d. development of appropriate model etc

Regards

Joe

Are you working on a student assignment or on a real-world commercial design? If you are working on a real world commercial design, then most of what you are asking for is undoubtedly proprietary information and you won't get that sort of information here.

hi joe:

1. client/owner demand in regard design/specs/operating parameters

2. maximum allowable operating presure/temperatur.

2. importance of client/owner applicable standards and/or to comply with (AP1/ASME ASTM)

3. site / location conditions (Temp,Press., Humidity, Wind speed/,ice load, earthquake...)

4. original material specs of the reactors.5. check with specialized manufacturers
