Post about neural transmition // sound waves

08/14/2007 6:17 AM

Hi everyone,

Some times ago I came through news about researcher finding that neural transmition could be made by accoustic waves and not electrical signal.

Has someone kept a trace or could tell me where to find some more informations?

Thanks by advance,

Yann.

I have not kept track, but your description rang a bell (oooh!), and I think this may be the story. I forwarded it with this preface, back in March of this year: The story is carried by ScienceDaily, and comes out of the University of Copenhagen, but it almost reads like something you'd hear from an eighth-grade dropout who has written an essay on science based on what the voices told him . . . I suspect that there will be a lot of revised textbooks, and that this will lead to some new understandings (almost HAS to!) . . .

I believe that this may be the paper: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?Db=pubmed&Cmd=ShowDetailView&TermToSearch=17293400&ordinalpos=1&itool=EntrezSystem2.PEntrez.Pubmed.Pubmed_ResultsPanel.Pubmed_RVDocSum
