Rotating Equipment Engineer

02/15/2017 5:21 PM

I have been working in oil and gas industry as rotating equipment supervisor in construction for 2 years. I have bachelor degree mechanical engineering. Presently I am handling only intallation of rotating equipment like pump, compressor, blowers etc at site. I don't have any knowledge on maintenance or overhauling of these equipments. I am very much thirsty to become a rotating equipment engineer and i want to work for big firms. So can anyone help me that how can I turn my career to that way...please...

Transfer to the maintenance section or one the subcontractors that are doing this work....you may have to start at the bottom, but dedication and hard work is your vehicle for success....Installing is a lot easier than maintenance and repair...If you feel you can hack it, then look for educational opportunities that will prepare you for more demanding positions....

Per Solar Eagle's excellent recommendation, visit some of the career sites, for example:

and apply.
