I'm not resting on my laurels here. I've been engineering and testing a solution to the low tech problem of squeaking floors. It's not exactly a space shot, but it is a high tech solution.
That would be a while out, but yes. That would be the direction. I'm doing further testing on another floor in another home soon before I count my chickens. If all goes well there, I'll expand testing. So far excellent results. 0db!
It's a product and process that could be used by flooring companies as well as It's own simple franchise. It's also possible for the confident DIY person.
Creaking floors are a big deal in multi unit dwellings as well as private homes. In my opinion the products out there are not effective enough and some need access from below. others leave unsightly nails, screws, or drill holes full of putty often to have the squeak return!
What's out there already is not really adequate. I think those products are more of a wing and a prayer than a solution.
Let me get through the next phase and if all goes well I'll PM you to find out if you have the essential tools and desire to test it at your home. I'd ship you the custom consumables and tell you the steps to follow.
