Dear CR4,
I am writing to inform you that we are looking to staff multiple engineering positions:
- Manager, Engineering Department
- Project Engineers (multiple)
- Mechanical Piping Designer
- Mechanicals Checkers
Below is a brief summary of the positions, the organization, and the industry. Please PM me for more detailed information and/or to request information on how to apply.
Engineering Manager - Our previous Engineering Manager was promoted to V.P. Operations and their initial replacement moved on for a career change. We consider this a working-manager position and the preferred candidate would have both a personnel managerial skill set along with a strong engineering skill set in order to guide, mentor and train Project Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Designers, Checkers, and Co-ops. As we outsource our manufacturing globally – our work product is our engineering and this candidate should have a strong sense of adherence to standards, perfection, and pride in the work product the department creates.
Project Engineers – These are experienced and seasons Engineers that will lead teams of Engineers and Designers to facilitate the engineering portions of projects. As the lead engineer for a given projects, they are the interface with their Project Manager, Procurement Department, Vendors, Manufacturing Suppliers, our Commissioning Team. Cross-functional manufacturing experience preferred for these roles. We have held off staffing these additional slots to ensure our growth was sustained growth, and it is. Currently we outsource on a per-project basis – but we want to bring this pivotal and foundational role in-house.
Mechanical Piping / Fluid Power Designer – Not HVAC… Rather Industrial machinery piping and fluid power system design (Hyd, Pnu, Water/Coolant). The incumbent to this position retired. You’ll see for our product description below that piping in all mediums is a primary and critical facet of our equipment. Accordingly, we are seeking an experienced SME in this field.
Mechanical Checkers – Another key position that we like to staff with significant cross functional experience. We’ve recent lost one Checker to retirement and our Senior Checker also recently announced his desire to retire. We consider this position extremely critical to our operations and the prior incumbents were pervious seasoned machinist, machine shop owners, seasoned engineers that were retired but still needed to be engaged. Because the typical person that we like to fill this role with is in the final 20% cycle of their career, or are fully post career, we are quite picky.
Our company is a Global entity, servicing multiple industries, with a small company feel. Or corporate headquarters is in Europe, and our facility is in a small mid-western town (~18,000 population) within an hours’ drive to multiple major cities, plains, mountains, and the Great Lakes. We have access to almost every type of recreational activity and health care that is world-class. We offer full health benefits (Health, Dental, Vision) STD, LTD, 401k w/match and relocation. Successful candidate need to be permanently legally employable in the US.
We are an OEM to the steel industry with an extensive product line that includes but is not limited to: Steel Bar Finishing equipment, Pipe End Facers, Hydrostatic Pipe Testers, Hi-Collapse Testers, Coupling Screw-On Machines, OCTG Processing Line, Automatic Drifters, Bar/Rail/Tube Straighteners, Hot Rolled Straighteners, Pipe/Plate/Bar/Rail Material Handling and Bundling Equipment, Weight/Measure/Stencil Equipment, Torque Tightening Equipment, Polishers, Coil Slitters, ERW Tube Mills Complete Lines – Uncoiler thorough Bundling.
