High efficiency fan for suction hoods

09/05/2007 4:53 PM

The performance of the suction hood/microwave oven (GE) above my stove is very poor. Can the fan be replaced with a more efficient fan or is there aniother way to improve the performance of the suction hood? Is there a company that sells high efficiency replacement fans?

internal or external exhaust?? Is filter blocked up? Grease can block these filters over time.

Its an external exhaust. Filters are new and clean.

Could it be that the fan has poor aerodynamics?
