Hi Steven. Have a look at www.seek.com.au these seem to be the largest job listing site in the country. Good luck.

Re-your desire to migrate:

My suggestions are as follows:

1.Make sure you have learnt about Australian history ,laws ,geography, human relations and government systems ( There are new guidelines for entry that are aimed at inviting people who have done their "home work".Find out from the Consulate in your Country) Your English mastery appears to be good so that this is a very important advantage.

2.Do not plan to come here if you are carrying a baggage of past: animosity, religious contentions and lack of desire to integrate into a community who , whilst previously open is now very concerned at past immigrants who fail to freely adapt to a new life devoid of such "heavy baggage".

3.If your trade or technical qualifications do" fit in " I suggest you first try to come as a migrant worker and get a job that way for whatever lenght of contract this may give you. You will then on completion be able to return home From there, you can make formal applications that will give you : greater leverage, work references and not the least :favourable consideration by concerned Officials. For instance (given to you purely as an indication only ) try :

www.australianrecruiting.com or mark.weare@australianrecruiting .com

They are in that type of business and this may give you a start)

could you just marry an aussie woman and gain citizenship, like they do here in US. How do australian women feel about Californian Civil Engineers?
