Between the exhaust ports and the catalytic converter. Engine size? Automatic or standard? 2,2.5, or 4 door? 2 or 4 wheel drive? any specialty packages? Can all effect location. And it is the last place you want it to be, to work on.

Oh ya some vehicles have one before the catalytic converter and one after.

Don't know if they started putting them on diesels?

Easiest way is to get the information and call a Ford dealer or e-mail Ford with VIN number and what you need. Or get a manual from a library.

or if your lucky some one at Cr4 will have access to one.

sorry I'm not more help.

Brad

Try to check in the repair manuals section at www.autozone.com.

They should pinpoint the exact location.

Lucks!

More of a curiosity than a direct reply, but are you interested in trying to wring some more horsepower out of your engine?

I have a 2002 F 350 Super Duty that we use to haul 2 water jet skis for our water rescue team. The O2 sensors on this gasser are located one per side, just below the joint of the cast exhaust manifold and the intake pipes of the exhaust system. This places one at the throat of each "Y" before they join at the "Y" and enter the catalytic convertor.

The other replies are also very good. Just kinda boils down to why you need to know and what you want to do. So far we haven't had O2 sensor problems with our unit, and it has seen some serious beach deployment at the active sea water's edge. What we have had recent problems with is the tranny getting overheated, and it hasn't all that many miles on her, maybe 2G if that. Driver training does wonders when related to age of the drivers and experience on the sand.

Hope this helps your inquiry. Good luck. Twisted Piston
