Twisting of sheets

Sheets of the floor of a body of a truck vehicle gets twisted after it is being welded with outside platforms.wht is the reason and how can we calculate the amount of twist.

Need more info on your welding process. But sounds like your applying too many welds along length of floor panel or you are applying too much heat at each weld.

You should be spot welding at minimum.

yes..may be the overheating causes that.since we are seeing heat affected area.too many full welding is there.but we have to still consider the strength of the base .

Are you tacking the panel at various places around the perimiter before final welding. The twisting is most likely due to a lot of heat in one area and none in another. Tacking in addition to assuring proper placement also serves to preheat the sheet. You may need to do additional pre heating,
