	Hi I am trying to connect to a micom P545 device via a switch over a 61850 protocol.When I ping the connection is okay but on attempting to connect I get an error " cannot open port".. What could be wrong here?

	In all other cases Where I have communicated to IED's under IEC 61850, after defining the IP addresses, communication is established. By the way, I can communicate via a serial port but have failed on Ethernet IEC 61850 via a switch.

	Not that I need a switch but it is convenient for me to use i as I do not have to physically shift from relay to relay to configure. Connecting directly to the IED through the front port has no problem

	Hey Richard, Did you find a way of solving this problem? I am facing the same problem and until now i cant resolve it. I have tried to install a newer version of S1 and also have used another computer but i get the same error everytime.
