Embedded Linux based Wimax CPE / Base Stn. solution

10/04/2007 11:03 PM

Does anyone know an Embedded Linux based Wimax solution that can be built using an existing Wimax System on Chip (SoC). If so which SoC and which Linux Kernel?

How can I get a reference design and a Bill of Materials for building a basic CPE board?.

I am not looking for finished and deployment ready application boards, but an open solution which I can customize into various application formats. My target market may or may not be just for remote internet access , but for those who will use my specialist application through internet.

I am looking for a solution that can be built on Wavesat, Telcis or similar chipsets which are industry standard. My issue is finding suitable and compatible MAC code so that I dont have to pay the 45-50K fee for the MAC code to work on their chipsets.

If you have a solution that works on any other open silicon ( As you said PowerPC), it is more than welcome.

Do you have this capability to do this for Wimax/4G technologies. If so I will contact you to discuss for a turnkey service.

Thanks
