Eclipse

Too bad the Chinese lander isn't on our side of the moon. A shot of the earth over some lunar mountains with sunsets/sunrises all the way around might make an interesting picture.

As usual, totally overcast here for the eclipse. Nice pic, Rixter.

The chinese have (or had) an experimental plant setup with the lander. Cotton seedling germinated, but I hear it soon died when the temperature dropped to -45 C.

Yeah, the lunar cold in eastern North America is all over the news. Meanwhile, it's raining here with howling southerly winds, and hit 9 C at least - warmer than Orlando Florida today. I'd plant some cotton but.....nope, wouldn't make it through tomorrow here either.

Very nice. I didn't get to see it, because I was watching TV. And I think it was a clear night too! Bummer!
