I have a device that transmits communication to an external network at 900Mhz via connection to a port on the chipset.
It also has another port on the chipset and can connect a GPS antenna (the chip has a GPS receiver on it). GPS communication frequencies are 1575.42 MHz / 1227.60 MHz.
Rather than use two aerials, I'd like to try and use one 'puck' style aerial. Is it just a matter of purchasing something similar to this:

And plugging the external network chip and GPS chips into the different puck ports? Also, all of these puck aerials seem to come with long cables (~3m!). Is there any issue with shortening this to 100mm?
