The military is now using non Newtonian fluids in armor applications,including body armor. Some of the military applications include ceramic and/or carbons/metals powders into the mix. The Jello pool is a good slow-mo study of waves. How about propeller studies" Of course there are Reynold's numbers and other factors to consider,but it may yield insights that are previously unknown,such as turbulence in 3 dimensions. one of the impossible behaviors currently impossible to precisely model or formulate.
