Number and Letter Drills

07/15/2019 10:23 PM

Does anyone know where one can get letter or number sized drills where the shipping costs isn't more than the drills?

I want to get the next two sizes larger than 7/32 IE: #2 and #1

Anyone?

You might want to rethink these.

SpecificationDescription
Application:

Wood Drilling

Brand:Pro Series
Holder:Yes
Included:115 drill bits with case
Material:Metal
Package Quantity:115
Type:Drill Bit Set
Product Type:Drill Bits
Warranty:90-Day Limited
Manufacturer Part NumberPS07535

I bought a set of cheap drills from Harbor Freight and they were so soft that they bent.

Maybe these are different but, buyer beware.

High quality drill bits can exceed $10 a piece...these are about $.30 each, so you get what you pay for....If you can find a higher quality set or bits this size, then by all means post it...the OP didn't mention the application...

Mr. Eagleman! AWESOME!!!!

When I first got there I added all three to my shopping cart, but they would not tell the shipping costs till I had to fill out all their forms.

But was pleasantly amazed when it says shipping is free!

CR4 is the most incredible group of people!

Now if I can still find these for a 1/8" shaft.

for an 1/8" shaft?

yeah kind of overkill tho. Plus I honestly do NOT understand why I can not find that little clip anywhere anymore! In the 70's & 80's I bought them by the thousands.

Now no where that small. amazinghow something could be easily found 40 years ago to be gone now.

I don't recall ever seeing a spring clip that small, about 6mm is the limit...

Yup that picture is a picture of one of the last three I have, so they were made, and like I said I bought them by the thousands.

I usually just wrap electrical tape around the bit...

Sign up for an account with mfg.com and spec a few thousand. They can be made for a reasonable amount I'm sure.

I used a lock collar like this to support a 10" diameter blower pulley on a 1" hollow shaft.

Pay more for the drill bits and nominal shipping can be arranged.
