Recycling Bikini Wax

08/03/2019 6:20 AM

while sitting in the waiting room while my girlfriend saw her bikini line specialist it occurred to me these salons must produce a fair quantity of wax and human hair which currently goes into landfill .

What ideas can we come up with for recycling of the product ?

the wax could potentially be turned in to biodiesel and the hair potentially a reinforcing material in concrete or other composites.

there are businesses that collect and recycle coffee grinds which are used for compost to grow mushrooms among other uses so a similar collection scheme could be adopted.

Another recycling venture is the collection of used cooking oil from restaurants and cafes for biodiesel which has a notable aspect of producing cooked food aromas from the vehicle exhaust, hopefully bikini wax doesn’t display the same characteristics if converted into fuel.

I would think that recycling the wax would be a better choice...You just need to develop a purifying process...probably wouldn't be worth it unless you had hundreds, if not thousands, of facilities on board...and the process was cheap...

Cheap candles for the needy.

Cooking fuel for the needy.

..or go full circle and use the flames to burn off body hair.

Or just slather it back on the back at the discount waxers salon.

..Just think of the awe inspired by such a product..

They probably filter out the hair and reuse it already. (the wax not the hair.) Don't think there's much of a market for the short hairs. I mean, people are paying to get rid of them in the first place. If you come up with an application for hair, think hairbrushes. Think tub drains! The lavish sources of material would outcompete short and curly there, any day.

Mix the two and get the aroma of fish and chips?
