Query on SPI communication for ADE7758 Energy meteer IC

The Serial Port Interface (SPI) data comes from pins 21-24. As far as I could tell, there is no "default data" in a "SPI register".

A good place to start with this chip is to get the evaluation board:

Recently I have also started learning ADE7758, but the documentation available on this link is not enough. For Example, I want list of measurements which I can get from this chip.....I could not find.

I suggest you down load the data sheet. It has all the registers listed and what data each represents.

Hi,

I have not tried for myself yet but have been reading up in preparation. It appears the steps are:

1. First right to the communications register (82h) via SPI, the address of the register you will want to access. DB7 of the comms reg is W/-R, and DB4-DB0 holds the address of one of the 18 registers you can access.

2. Then Right or Read to the desired register, as 5 times to get the 40-bit register value.
