The technical questions probably won't be a problem. If it is any sort of G-Job, then you probably went through at least 1 set of "technical qualification" reviews, by people who wouldn't know an atom bomb from a doorknob, before you got to the interview portion.

Concentrate on the "people" aspect. "Can you play well with the other children"?

Sorry if this sounds cynical, but the question you should be asking yourself, is, IS THIS REALLY WHAT I WANT?

Mr. Kilowatt0 is quite correct. The focus of the interview will be on how well you can function in their team environment. If there is a technical focus, it will be on problem solving. Expect to be asked how you might respond to situational scenarios. They will examine the tools that you have gained through your eduacation and past experience and how you would apply them to the situation.

Even more important for govenrment jobs, than playing well with others, is are you blindly obedient and loyal, and do you know how to keep secrets.

When you approach for a job as fresher most will look for how comfortable you are with the task you will undertake , questions are asked about your project you did it in final year , problems faced , costings and all that , they are aware of your freshness and ask for little technical to there business like you mentioned publicworks , bridges so you can prepare for that .if you are experianced than it will be sole experiance you get from previous employer

Judging by the level of intelligence displayed by the average government official, stupid questions probably.
