Many automotive repair manuals (Im thinking hayes manuals, but chiltons manuals may too) have pictures and general descriptions of what to look for when inspecting a belt. Other then those problems, you'll probably have to check the belt tension when installed, which usually means deflecting the belt with a given amount of force and measuring that deflection.

Well where I work, we have a machine called a V-Belt. It is part of the singulation section of a sizer that is used for grading produce. It consists two flat plastic belts that run along a narrow conveyor with the belts running parallel coming together in the form of a V. It's used to bring the fruit to single file line so they can be placed on individual cups for passing under a camera box to be analyzed and designated for which conveyor they are to be dropped onto automatically down the line on the sizer.

So guest. Are you the original guest or a different person because as a "guest" there is no distinction to separate you from any other guest that posts. We don't know if you are talking to yourself or if another guest is responding to you.

It would be helpful if you would register with your own name and make yourself standout. It would be helpful. As you can see it's easy to talk about to completely different V-belts under one topic.

As poorly written, edited, error prone as Haynes manuals are in U.S. English, I can only imagine Spanish translations! If you liked the belt photo's in Haynes, you would still lose most of the money used to purchase a manual.

hi..from my experince working with oil and gas company..we using alot of cooling fan motor driven..and we using v belt to drive the fan..the easy way to check the v belt is by visual inspection..normaly if the belting is already worn out,you ca see the belting already crack..so its time to be change..and you also can use a belt gauge to check the dimension of the belt or the pulley.
