Are you referring to breakdown (or failure) of steel reinforcing bars? Or how to determine quantity (amount in %) of reinforcing bars in civil and construction works?

Please specify or clarify.

A good civil engineer with experience in quantity surveying will be more efficient and reliable. This is especially true when dealing with different rebar cut-length at factory (20' being normal although you can order other cut-length of 30' or 40'). Exact rebar quantity will be impractical, though can be accurate and will depend on how rebars are scheduled. There will be some extra short pieces leftover after cutting, and this is unavoidable, but with a good rebar schedule it can be minimized.

Hope this helps.

Willy:Please would you visit the web: www.schnellsoftware.com and read about the 3rd and final part bulletin of the series of articles dedicated to " machining by element". Please see the fundamental task of the "Graphico" package software and the "Grapho-Cad" and let me know your opinion about it. Really I am interesting if it is practical and reliable. Best regards

Hi Joe,

Thank you for providing the link. I was actually reading through the site and was thinking that it maybe better to have the English version. I just figured-out that it has the English version. So let me go over the topics you recommended now that I have it in English. I will post my comments after that.

Hi Joe,

There is not much info in English that I can read to make any recommendation at this time.

I may need to try the demo version of the software to have a knowledge of its features.

Willy
