This was another question, I think they are freaking hard:
A gas tank float (Texaco gasoline) of 1.000 +/- 0.050 inch in diameter, must operate for five years with this tolerance at an average temperature of 73 F. The float must operate between -40 F to 120 F . Assume the post mold shrinkage is negligible and the cavity will be sized to produce average parts at 73 F.
a) Do the tolerance analysis and determine if it is feasible in acetal plastic Delrin 500 NC010?
b) Is coarse molding tolearnce satisfactory in this case?
