Looking For A Valve

11/28/2007 1:14 PM

I want a valve, similar to a diesel fuel injector, which can inject high pressure gas (200 bar or more) in controlled (timed) spurts perhaps 100 times a second. Pressure drop through the valve should be minimal.

I know a diesel locomotive was converted to operate on CNG, but the injectors somehow operated at low pressures. -- esbuck@aol.com

CNG conversions usually inject upstream of the intake valve which is vacumn conditions. Not directly into the cylinder.
