Elevator control circuit

There should be an up-to-date one in the elevator maintenance manual.

Are you designing for a new installation or trying to document existing equipment?

Elevator control circuits are a Category 4 (US terminology, SIL 4 in European standards) safety rated circuit and should be designed and certified by a qualified safety engineer. I can give you some American contacts (not sure how useful that would be for you), but I would think the elevator equipment manufacturer would be the best resource.

What kind of control do you intend to use? (e.g. relay logic, a programmable controller etc.)

This sounds like a homework problem. I can help, but I won't do it for you.

The first thing to do is write down a list of all the controls (pushbuttons), switches (up and down limits etc.) indicators and motors in your system. Think about all the details like whether you're going to have an automatic or manual door, an alarm for Elevator Stuck and all those things.

Then write down all the states the system can be in (Car down - door open, car down - door closed, car going up etc).

Then describe what you want to happen when any of the controls is activated (i.e. when a pushbutton is pressed) in any of those states.

You can't start thinking about the control circuit until you've done all that. Post your results here (or send me a private e-mail if you like - just click on JohnDG and follow the instructions), and maybe we'll take it from there.

Sorry if I sound like an unhelpful, boring old fart, but we don't do homework here - though we help when we can. If this isn't what you're looking for, you'd better go and look somewhere else.
