Electrical Engineering via Distance Education

11/29/2007 6:19 PM

I'm searching for Universities in the U.S. that offer distance education programs suitable for MEP engineers, specifically electrical. I've found a few, but they seem to be more geared towards those working for an electrical utility. I was hoping that someone, somewhere out there, has a program or knows of a program that is more tailored towards the low-voltage industry (600V and less) that I work in.

Any suggestions?

I am interested in much the same. I am a Manufacturing Engineer having made the transition from multi-craft maintenance mechanic a year ago with 20 years of manufacturing experience. I want to continue my education from where i started on the production floor and then in the craft to a degree in electrical engineering or an degree. I am interested in a disipline associated with the interconnectivity and control of manufacturing processes. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I can give you two links that can help you in your search for distance learning:

Free Education

and

FindaSchool

Both can help you find your subject matter in the USA or throughout the world. Some sites offer free education but all require tuition to obtain a degree.

Yours,

chtank
