Water Temperature Sensor with 0 V to 10 V Output

12/03/2007 3:27 PM

I need to sense water temperatures in the range of 10 to 40 C, + or - 1 C accuracy. The output from the sensor needs to be 0 to 10 volts. The actual temperature probe can be installed in a wet or dry well. I would use thermistor with a Wheatstone bridge but I need something the end user can buy as a complete Assembly.

There are already temperature sensors with 4 - 20mA that can do this. Are you doing this as a personal project, or are you trying to create a new product? If you're creating a new product, then you'll have to consider additional features so that your product will stand out from the crowd.

Re: Water Temperature Sensor with 0 V to 10 V Output

I am doing a design build for a panel that will control pumps a boiler and a cooling tower for a project utilizing water source heat pumps. I will need to sense water temperature at four points in the system, the PLR that I am using will only accept a analog input of 0 to 10 volts. The design of the control panel is simple compared to the problems Ive had locating a temperature sensor that is not very costly for the application or custom built. The only part that Ive found so far is a Ranco tstat with 0 to 10 volt output.Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
