Digital Device for Shaft Fracture

04/30/2021 11:10 AM

Hi Community,

I've seen this picture from a root cause analysis about a shaft fracture in one conveyor. Do you know what it is? How does it work?

Thank you in advance

Cheers

Could be ultrasonic or eddy current test, or even a digital microscope...all used in NDT..

It's probably a ultrasonic flaw detector like this one

It should be self-explanatory but it visualises anomalies in propagation and reflections of ultrasonic waves that not so obvious internal defects cause. S.M.
