Chrysler Turbine Cars

I ran across this the other day. Some of you car fans might find it interesting. Chrysler made about 70 turbine cars in the 30 years between 1953 - 1983. They were wildly popular by the folks that got to see or drive one, but the project was basically killed by the emission standards and the fact that the power plant cost $10000 vice a couple hundred bucks for a piston engine. (No wonder Chrysler almost went belly up...)
