Effect on smaller markets

Very informative. Another sector that is being heavily effected and that is smaller companies who also use Chips. As the larger users are effectively working through it smaller companies are finding significant cost increase and in some cases no availability of chips at all.

It's no different for major defense contractors like where I work and not just small companies. It is impacting our everyday business. Auto makers, some of the largest OEM's in the world with significant 'clout' can't get stuff either. You can see auto layoffs and production suspensions in the news almost every day.

Some day, researchers will reveal the draconian steps taken during the COVID feardemic is the root cause of this problem. Not to say that the initial responses were wrong, but once the China Wuhan virus was better understood by the June/July 2020 time frame, the world should have been 're-opened' for school and business.
