Auto Unload Push Button for Generator Breaker Panel

Why Auto Unload pushbutton is to be provided in the Generator breaker panel. Why not operator just decrease the speed manually and then open the breaker?

Several things happen when you press the button, the speed is reduced, the load is disconnected, and the control mode of the governor is changed.

This automatically brings the genset into controlled shutdown without an upset to the engine and the electrical load users.

Or, as my father always told me, read the instructions after all else fails.

Having an auto-unload button aside from being a safety related device, it is intended to help any inexperience users /operators in starting and operating the generator..

It is a lot easier to restart the generator back without any load connected into it as experienced, You can also safely add load to the generator's full load rating once the engine reached the proper operating frequency and temperature...
