12/20/2007 11:50 AM

For the prevention of fuel theft occurring from generators in any field, as seen and reported in the telecoms industry from generators used to keep telecoms networks online, visit www.shepherdsgate.co.za or for info on the simplest product in the world enquire at info@shepherdsgate.co.za

Its a simple machnical device that will really fool the thief and did i mention its cheap aswell.

It would be smart for all generator companies supplying generators to the world and for those going into harsh environments to keep the world ticking to have a chat with Shepherds Gate for solutions on fuel theft, the one commodity your generator is useless with out!!

Not as in a lock like the picture, its an Anti Siphoning lock, and does not work like a conventional lock, for that matter it has no resemblance to a lock in any way, it's a straight forward anti siphoning product, which fits to the fuel tank and simply prevents siphoning, it cant be anymore idiot than that, best of all it keeps the fuel where its meant to be…

Let me guess. A hardwood dowel and a 3lb hammer. One quick blow and that is lying in the bottom of the tank and there goes the fuel. Or take the bottom line off and drain the tank.

Someone wants the fuel, they WILL get it.

If sum one wants your television set, they will get into you house also, no problem, yet 80% of people have an alarm system to deter the criminal, and the companies running those products, are making Billions of Dollars, and really don't care if you get robbed or not.

If you hit the product with a 3lb hammer you going to be there for quite sum time smashing it into the fuel tank, by that time the cops have arrived for disturbing the peace.

The fuel line is a good way of getting to the fuel, but thieves are fast and opportunistic, using the easiest way possible to siphon fuel so why leave the inlet open for the world to abuse…..We not looking at protecting Fort Knox now..

All the product is, is that idiot alarm system, your insurance company won't cover your house hold goods without having installed in your home!

It's a simple mechanical DETERANT nothing more, unlike sum of the products on the market you don't have to pay a monthly monitoring fee either, for a once off $100 Dollars or €80 Euro or £57 Pounds, I bet fitted you will see an instant difference, those few gallons of fuel that's been going missing that you not aware of will come to an end, also people don't protect their valuables because they being thieved, but in the case that they maybe come a victim of theft in the future….the old saying goes with out saying, Better be safe than Sorry, especially with the fuel price nowadays, which will never get cheaper.

These products fit Trucks, Light commercial vehicles, Earth moving equipment, generators and more, all of the above have other means of getting to the fuel but recorded data has shown that preventing the theft from being taken by opportunistic thieves, a saving rate of 6% has been achieved.

Ye if they want the fuel they will get it, they could also smash a hole into the tank, but that doesn't happen either, ever been out buying your monthly groceries on a Saturday and found vehicles parked up on the side of the roads because sum one smashed a hole into the tank, I bet not seems that's most unlikely, its easier to get away with a hose pipe and an open inlet and 2 gallons of fuel every second day, than a 3lb hammer and a hardwood dowel.

Watch Myth Busters, your sugar trick doesn't work!

Isn't it strange that all the thefts reported occur in the USA, plus do you honestly think that when their car stops running they will stop stealing gas, I bet not as its sold on the black market and not used by the perpetrators, in Africa 80% of people don't own cars but the black market is hungry for stolen fuel, so if you have a truck or car its bound to get hit sooner than later.

Ask Mobil in America about the fuel stolen before it reached their bottling plant a couple of days ago, no matter how big you are your still a victim, the world is simply about prevention and nothing else, if anyone is under the impression that people on this planet are getting any richer they are mistaken, those getting richer are the rich and the poor are getting poorer, does one think that in a war stricken place like Iraq and Afghanistan or in a governmentally run down country like Zimbabwe where people have absolutely nothing, they just going to look past fuel which is the most common thing industry needs to function, I bet not, Fuel is still in abundance even in war stricken places and poor countries especially when measured against the general things that Man requires to live.

I bet the American Government vehicles (i.e.: Municipal etc) used back home and the American Military in war stricken areas of the world loses thousands of gallons of fuel to the black market each month, maybe they should approach Shepherds Gate( www.shepherdsgate.co.za or info@shepherdsgate.co.za) for a solution to keeping their own fuel in their tanks, even if a success rate of 6% and growing is acheived. Its common knowledge that fuel theft is a huge problem in your Middle East countries

With the way man is consistently using up all the natural resources of the planet, the Shepherds Gate product should become a standard in the protection of resources.
