fuel boost pumps

12/29/2007 4:32 AM

we have experieced a high removal of fuel boost pumps; after deep investigation and teardown for 10 pumps, we found that the pumps fail for dielectric test and have particulate contamination on pumps' rotors (black-brown). my question is if the fuel itself has the proporty of asphaltine to cause failure of fuel boost pumps (low pressure message) similar effect on filter life.

Dear Friend,

I do know the best tools available for the testing and measurement and for the maintainance of the motor for lifelong period. I have my firm for the transformer repair and winding in maharashtra. For the fuel pump you canuse the insulation tester (to test the insulation of the dielectric and other insulation parts which will be helpful for you)

I came across Rishabh Instruments, a nasik based company which is the worlds leading manufacturer of the Analog panel meters and it is also engaged in manufacturing of the digital instruments for easing the daily tasks of people like us.

Now i have herd that they are representing Gossen Metrawatt of Germany and METREL of Slovenia for the marketing and servicing of the same in India.

I have found the websites of all the three companies and i am glad to tell you they are:

www.rishabh.co.in

www.gossenmetrawatt.com

www.metrel.si

I have bought the multimeter from this company and i was amazed with the performance of the same. Rishabh provides a very wonderful after sales service for all its instruments and now i came to know why they claim "German Quality products at Indian prices". Isnt that wonderful. I have ccordinated with a lady there at marketing@rishabh-instruments.com and spoke to her on 02532202160 when i had purchased the meter.

Have a nice time...

Is this a submersible pump?

Your pump symptoms look like an insulation breakdown due to over heat or chemical reaction between the windings and the environment. (if submerged). it looks to me more an over heating than anything else.

Wangio.
