Calculation of Copper and PVC

The question is how to calculate the power cable weight .seprately (copper and pvc)?

Take a one metre section of the cable you are interested in knowing about, skin the insulation off of it and weigh the conductor then its insulation jacket. Multiply the values you recorded by the length you wish to know about.

Thanks for the logical answer but thats not the engineering formula.Would you please answer the engineering formula for this question before manufacturing and after manufacturing (Note : without waisting the material)
