I am not up on the FREDDY Laser you have mentioned, but I do know the best bet is a focused ultra-sonic blast. I was plagued with a stone problem when I was a young lad at the age of 24. The ultra-sonic blasters where just in their infancy to the medical world. It was only twenty minutes in and out of the hospital and man was I relieved. Good luck.
I know a Laser John from Las Vegas. A wicked 3.5 watt YAG laser. Green. Sicko visuals. Don't know what it would do for kidney stones. It would definatley give you a burning retina.
