INVOLUTE PROFILE GENERATION

Dear All

I want to know software which can generate involute profile for splines.I am using master cam but it do not use addendum modification coefficiet as an input .Do tell me the significance of this factor and suggest some good book on involute spline design.

Could you be more specific as to what you want to accomplish? I have yet to encounter a shape that I could not generate with Mastercam.

Book to assist - You'll need a copy of GEARS by H E Merritt, published by PITMAN, London.

Yers, it's old but is a time-honoured reference book on involutes etc.
