Precious metal components

Where would engineers go to discover companies specializing in the manufacture and machining of precious metal parts. Platinum, Palladium, Gold, Silver, Rhodium and Iridium?

Is there a country or group of countries you are especially interested in?

Europe? Asia? South America? Austrailia? North America? Africa?

or doesn't it really matter.
