ROTATING PART + ANSYS

02/04/2008 2:02 AM

Dear All

I have to model a rotating system in ANSYS CAE software. The model consists of a rotating shaft having two ball bearings at the end.

The shaft is rotating at "ω" speed due to torque "Τ".

please let me know the Boundary Conditions required at the contact of shaft portion and the bearing.

thanks in advance..

I think that ANSYS and CAE are different software. CAE is from Abaqus.

You can define a contact property without friction, to simulate the condition of the bearing.

hi

the constraint of contact without friction is not sufficient to solve the problem...as I am getting error of " body is not completely constrained"...

And ANSYS as well as ABAQUS both softwares come under CAE (Computer Aided Engineering).
