Question About Speed Limiter for Playground Use?

hI ive just red the post on speed limter play ground ,pls im working on the same course work , play ground with speed limiting device, postion of bearing seatings,limit and fits required at the bearing seatings,size and shape of the centre support column and seal arrangements, the revolving top plate which is a gap of only 300mm. the speed will be no more than 8rpm approx and the total weight including Children of the revolving top will be between 300Kg/400Kg . pls is their any calculation behind this and any possible sketches/ drawing .Thanks

Hello Fredson I'm Freds son as well

You mite try centrifugal device like that of a Governor on a steam engine that applies a brake to bottom of disk as weight spins outward

thanks for your response realy appreciated...i still am not really clear with the concept could you please possibly expansiate on what you mean by " applies a brake to the bottom of disk as weight spins outward."

if possible can you do like a sketch or diagram PLEASE

Can you also please give some calculations involved including Basic stress checks, bearing calculations and energy balance .
