Phosphoric Acid Filtration

Hello,

i need inputs for phosphoric acid filtration. My client is using phosphoric acid for a process of manufacturing activated carbon from saw dust. The acid at 75% initial concentration is diluted to 55% after mixing with DM water at 2 microsiemens conductivity. The acid is recovered after the mixing physically by filter press. The acid coming out after the wash cycle is contaminated with some metals and iron. The end result is we need to reuse the phosphoric acid. Can anyone help us out?

(1) What temp. does your client heat up Acid or Acid/Carbon mixture.

(2) Do they cool down before washing cycle start and do they use demin water for washing?

(3) From where do metal and iron come into contamination?
