Microsection

03/06/2008 4:15 AM

Hi,

I need help. I got to prepare the micro-section laboratory for printed circuit boards.

I have the polishing machine (Nelson-Zimmer 2000) and the microscope (Leica DM2500M).

Does anyone know a machine for coupons cutting?

It must have CE mark and must be very precise.

Manufacturers like Buehler make sectioning saws for this type of work. The low speed water cooled diamond saws are commonly used, but are slow. Their claim to fame is that they can section very hard materials, and are very accurate. Printed circuits are not very hard, and if those is the only things you will be sectioning, I would look into a carbide saw arrangement.
