Land of the Missing Toy Pieces

06/05/2006 10:20 AM

How many times have kids - and adults - pulled out the Monopoly game board only to find the dice missing? Or the sand timer gone from the Scattergories game? Plastics for Games sells all those pesky plastic parts that have a way of disappearing. Most of the parts are sold in mass quantity, but the company does have a sample box. The Web site also offers the bonus of triggering memories of childhood toys.

The preceding article is a "sneak peek" from the June edition of the Plastics & Resins Report newsletter from GlobalSpec. To stay up-to-date and informed on plastics industry trends, products, and technologies, subscribe to Plastics & Resins Report today.

I was hoping to replace my missing water on the knee and bread basket, but no luck...

Great Idea

This is a great idea for a business. I hate to discard toys, but gizmos that are missing small but important pieces and parts stop being interesting to my seven-year old. It would be nice to see this company expand its product offerings beyond just games.
