Rubber Odour Neutralizer

03/11/2008 8:17 AM

Dear Friends,

I am looking for a Fragrance which can be added in a rubber compound, so that the final product after vulcanisation does not smell the usual foul smell of Rubber, rather the product smells good. The product is not for food use. please help me find the same - if possible in India.

Thanks,

Kusari

I know there are fragrances/scents to be added to polyurethane materials. We have a vanilla scent made by BJB Enterprises for use in our polyurethanes. A little looking indicates that Univar in the USA has a "Chemask Odorant"; you could contact them to see if it is usable with rubber and is available in India. Another possibility is "Vanilla Fragrance Mask 41699" from Stanley Schoenmann, Inc. (who do not seem to have a website).
