How do you weld or cemented carbide insert to tools steel

Look to these people for materials and help have been very informative and all ways willing to help. http://www.carbideprocessors.com

They all have patented process for cermet tips on tools.

Use silver solder. If you are soldering on a production basis you can use leaf or foil type silver solder and wire the tips to the base. If you are looking at really high production go for induction heating.

Carbide tips or carbide inserts are brazed with the tool-steel at around 450 degree celsius in order to make a single rigid body. Silver or other non-ferrous alloys work as bonding element between carbide tip & tool-steel body. however, brazed tools do not stand against solid carbide tools, but makes your costing a bit cheaper.
