Turbo-blower repair/rebuild.

03/16/2008 3:52 PM

We are looking for for someone to rebuild a 46,600 CFM Ingersoll-Rand Turbo-blower.

This is a vintage 1941 model. We are located in Ohio. Any suggestions?

Well you could start with Dresser Rand, they may even have the drawings. Hickham Industries in Houston as well as Turbocare in Houston are both very capable shops for this kind of work.

Are you looking for someone in Ohio?

Ended up with Sulzer-Hickham. Awesome presentation and Knowledge base.

Valley Truck Parts in Grand Rapids, Michigan will serve you well. Give them a call. Personally, I do not Like Valley Truck Parts but the old German in there rebuild shop is second to none with the knowledge of the old equipment you are speaking of. Be sure you call the Grand Rapids location and not the location that is near you.

This blower is a bit bigger than the kind that goes on a truck I expect...

Yes this turbo-blower bigger than a truck. It's used in the simulation of high altitude environments for jet propulsion testing.
